What my future holds, who really knows.
Will social media play a role in my future? Hmm let me see.....is it one of the fastest growing forms of communication and news? Am i already a user of multiple platforms? Do i have a better chance of getting a name out there with the numerous platforms available? Yeppers!
Social media will be a great tool to anyone in the future. As long as people are smart about it. I actually don't have a full idea of what i would like to do with my future, but i know that whatever i do i can use social media. Some of the career choices i personally would make include interior design, art teacher, jeweller, maybe even go into business for myself. With all of these options social media can be a key to success.
If i chose to go into Interior design, social media can be used to create a proffessional site for potential employers to check out any past work, and see any responsibilities i may currently carry, as well as how i present myself. Social media in this situation will be used as a sort of virtual interview of a potential candidate. Whereas if i was to become a jeweller or even start my own business i would create my own online shop. Online shops are something that i have noticed alot more social media sites offering to their users. If i created said shop i would want to be also presented in a manner that caters to my audience. I could tie videos and blog posts all to one location to have more opportunities for views. I wouldn't however want potential customers knowing that i had crazy drinking night on friday, so i'm going to use discretion on anything linked to me and my business.
This is where social media will fail some people, they will post their stupid photos and videos and comments and statuses and in their future it could very well be held against them by the very thing that can bring upon so much potential for the future.
So will i use social media on the future, of course i will! I will and do use social media every day. It is something that will be growing for quite some time and the potential is limitless.
